About

I've always admired illustration. I devoured children's books, picking and choosing by the covers. I loved the stories, but I absolutely adored the pictures. As an artist, my love of children's illustration comes through in my work. I like defining lines, blocking colors, and telling a story--even if it's only a snapshot.

I love everything secret, weird, delightful, and fanciful. Animals, plants, and objects dance through my head--tendrils of ivy, bunches of flowers, a lone bear, a rose fairy, a sarcastic fox--they all have something to say to me. My joy is in helping them say it.

I graduated in 2012 from the University of Oregon School of Architecture and Allied Arts with a bachelor's degree in Art, focusing in Drawing and Painting. Besides various personal commissions, I showed and sold my art as a member of the Red Raven Gallery in Salem, OR in 2013. I currently live in Portland, OR.
